Language in Mappedin Shareable 3D Map

Hi,
I’m new here and currently exploring the product for an in-app integration for my client (a hospital). I’m looking for a simple solution, and Mappedin looks promising for this use case.

The problem I’m facing is when I try to set the language to Polish. It seems the URL parameter https://app.mappedin.com/map/?lang=pl isn’t working.

I’ve tested the SDK version, and everything works fine there.

Is there any other way to set the initial language for the Mappedin Shareable 3D Map?

Welcome to the forum!

The Mappedin Viewer you are referring to does not support multi-language. You can find a list of all URL parameters it supports in this guide: Embed a Map - Deep Linking.

Multi-language capabilities are available in our enterprise Mappedin Web product. It’s URL parameters for changing language and more can be found in this guide Mappedin Web v2.

The Mappedin Pricing Page has an overview of which features are available at each level.

Is the web version you mentioned the same as Mappedin JS (as seen here)? I just tested it—it supports multiple languages and seems to be available in the Pro plan.

Are there any limitations when using it with maps created in the Web Editor or when integrating it into apps on Web, iOS, Android, macOS, or Windows?

Mappedin JS is the library that allows you to create your own custom app using Mappedin. It’s the same library we’ve used to create our Mappedin Viewer and Mappedin Web products. The Mappedin Developer Overview Page has a description of these and more if you are interested in reading a bit more.

You are correct that Mappedin JS does support multi-language and is available at the Pro Tier. However, currently the tools to add multi-language data to a map are part of the Enterprise Tier, which is the current limiting factor on where it’s available.

Note that this applies to multi language. There’s nothing stopping you from entering text (name, description, etc) to a Free map in the language of your choice, it’s just the ability to add text in more than one language to a single map that’s part of the Enterprise Tier.
