Hi,
When creating maps in Mappedin, the floor tilts based on the first map uploaded in the “Edit Floors” section. I’m working on multiple buildings on the same floor, but the angles of other buildings aren’t aligned straight. Is there a way to tilt the map using the mouse or any tools so I can draw straight walls? Right now, the map is tilted, making it difficult to draw walls properly.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Manikandan,
Since you’re working with multiple floor plan files per level, there isn’t currently a way to adjust their orientation in editor. It is possible to recenter them if you stitch all the files outside of the platform and reupload them as a single file.
We have an exciting release next month that will make multi building mapping a smoother process.
Hi,
Thanks for the information! I would appreciate further clarification on the process of recentering the map and stitching all the files outside the platform. Could you guide me through the steps for combining the floor plan files into a single one and how I can then reupload them?
Looking forward to your insights!
Hi,
The idea is you open your map files, whether as pdf’s or png’s, and connect all of them then export them as a single file and reupload to the platform. This can be done in Adobe Illustrator or https://www.photopea.com/ (free solution). Once you’ve uploaded the floor plan as a single file you can click on “recenter”
