How do I add path in the map?

I have a building that have a zebra crossing. Currently i use a building to create a path. Is there a better or proper way to do this?

Hello there, outdoor paths will try to follow known open street map data for crossings and sidewalks when possible. Do you have an example of what the path looks like if you don’t have any “walk ways” manually created as part of your building?
